Implementation of sustainable development programs in the post-Soviet countries
The topic of the regular session held within the framework of the Erasmus + Jean Monnet Project ” The Best European Practices for the «Water Security» Platform to Achieve the Goals of Sustainable Development” 597938-EPP-1-2018-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE, implemented at the Department of Ecology of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.
The topic was presented by the responsible executor of the project, senior lecturer of the Department of Ecology, Candidate of Technical Sciences Yevhen Bezsonov.
During the meeting the following issues were discussed: retrospective analysis of the formation of the EU environmental foundation; the EU’s place in international environmental law; EU institutions in the field of environmental protection; legal support of the concept of “sustainable development”; implementation of sustainable development programs in post-Soviet countries.
Igor Vasylkivskyi, a participant of the Module from Vinnytsia National Technical University, suggested discussing the regulation of the Southern Bug River and possible ways to overcome the environmental crisis associated with the large number of artificial reservoirs that are objects of intensive human management.
During the online meeting, the participants of the Module also touched upon the issues of environmental education, namely the practice of studying sustainable development issues during the implementation of educational programs in the process of training students of various specialties.
